Jesus
Easter is for This
April 3, 2015 · David McLemore · 1 min read
The world is a hard, cruel, and mean place and you and I add to it.
The cross of Christ absorbed all of that hardness, cruelty, and meanness for us.
Inside the grave, as the body of Jesus rumbled to life, the very reign of sin was brought down forever. Life reigns now, and nothing will usurp its rule because the guarantor of the inheritance has died and lives now to appropriate the gift.
Hardness, cruelty, meanness, and every other form of sin is gripping a melting glacier that one day will evaporate into the nothingness of its own eternity.
Easter is for this.
